Dua Lipa, an English artist and singer was born in London, on the 22nd of August 1995. After a stint as a fashion model her decision was to join Warner Bros Records and release her debut album "Dua Lipa" in 2017. It peaked at number three on the U.K. Albums Chart and released eight singles, including Be the One I.D.G.A.F and the U.K. number-one song New Rules which peaked at sixth on the charts in the United States. Lipa is the recipient of Brit Awards 2018 for category of British Female Artist, British Breakthrough Act and British. Furthermore, the platinum album has been praised in multiple countries. She was born to Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa Rexha and Dukagjin Lipa. Through her maternal grandmother, she has Bosnian ancestry. Her family tree can be tracked back to Peja, the Kosovo town of Peja. Lipa's grandfathers were both historians. Her siblings are Rina as well as Gjin. Lipa began to learn how to play guitar as well as sing under the guidance of her father Oda. Oda is the singer/guitarist who leads the Kosovan-rock band Oda. She was influenced by her father's music which featured his music compositions and songs by artists like David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics Stereophonics. Lipa was just five years old when she first began to sing. At the age of nineteen she began singing at Sylvia Young Theater School. Lipa has performed her cover of If I Ain't Got You and Beautiful by Christina Aguilera, both on YouTube. In 2014 Lipa was signed to a contract to Warner Bros. Records. New Love was her debut single.
