Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter, an American film and actress, is renowned for her roles in movies such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. She has won several awards for her work and has even won an Oscar. The talented actress began her acting career on the stage through a variety of Broadway and Off-Broadway projects. The art of acting has been a constant passion. When she was in fifth grade, she portrayed Helen Keller in an original production. When she was in the fifth grade due to mumps, she lost her hearing in her left ear. But she didn't allow that to stop her. In college she studied theatre as well as later moving from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to New York City in pursuit of her dream. She ran into Beth Henley in an elevator and they worked together in Broadway Crimes of the Heart the first movie Hunter made. Her first role in film came after she relocated to Los Angeles. In the last three decades she's appeared in many TV and film shows. Holly Hunter has a Hollywood Walk of Fame actor as well as the Women in Film Lucy Award.
